The Great Gatsby

Better late than never. Back in January, I took my nieces to see The Great Gatsby, and it was pure magic. There’s something so special about watching a story you’ve read come to life on stage—the drama, the glamour, the decadence. The production was absolutely incredible, and seeing it as a play gave the story a whole new energy and sparkle.

Of course, a night inspired by Gatsby calls for a little drama of your own. I leaned into the spirit of the evening with subtle nods to 1920s glamour—modernized, of course.

I carried my trusty Jimmy Choo bag for a polished touch, and the star of the look was a vintage sequined beaded jacket. Instead of wearing it traditionally, I styled it backwards for an exposed back moment—unexpected and just a little daring, very Daisy-meets-downtown. I paired it with a Mango skort to keep the silhouette playful and contemporary, and finished the look with minimalist Helmut Lang heels for a sleek contrast to all the sparkle.

It felt like the perfect balance of old-world glamour and modern edge—exactly the kind of outfit that makes a theater night feel like an event.
